Gates officially open tonight to new Panther stadium

(Geronimo) – The Navarro ISD this Friday night is proud to welcome the community to the inaugural varsity football game in the new Panther Stadium. The event will feature Navarro as it takes on Marble Falls.

The high school stadium is designed to host football, soccer, track and field, and fine arts events. The broader complex also includes new baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, a golf practice range, home field house and spring sports/visitor amenities, and home and visitor concession stands as well as an integrated swag shop. The new stadium also nearly doubles the capacity of Erwin-Lee Stadium –expanding from 3,500 seats to a space that can seat 7,000 with grandstands and berms.

Navarro ISD Superintendent Mandy Epley says approved by voters in the 2024 Bond, the state-of-the-art athletics complex offers expanded opportunities for students across athletic, fine arts, and CTE programs.

“This Friday, we open more than just a home field, we open a place of pride for our entire community, built right here in the heart of Geronimo. Panther stadium stands as a testament to what we can achieve together. It is a space built for our students to grow, compete, and unlock new opportunities for generations to come,” said Epley.

School Board President Sartain says the district extends special gratitude to the local community and key partners who brought the project from vision to reality.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, thank you to our voters,” said Sartain. “Your support made this dream a reality, and we look forward to seeing our entire Panther Family in the stands under the lights.”

Epley especially thanks the teams behind the construction and design. They include Bartlett Cocke, LPA Architects, and AGCM.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Friday. Kick-off is 7 p.m. Designated HOME parking and the main home entrance are located on the west side of the stadium. Additional parking is available in the high school campus parking lots.

Tickets are available for purchase online via Brushfire or with cash at the stadium ticket window.
