(Seguin) — There’s still time for you to get your neighborhood signed up for this year’s National Night Out in the city of Seguin.
Mayor Donna Dodgen made the reminder during Tuesday’s Seguin City Council meeting.
Dodgen says National Night Out gives neighbors a chance to get to know one another and also provides them a chance to make sure that they are supporting the safety and well being of their entire neighborhood.
“National Night Out is coming and it’s right around the corner. So please, (sign up). I know there are many, many neighborhoods that traditionally have something and we all flock and go to. It’s really an incredible night in Seguin, Texas and lots of folks participate. So, don’t forget to register for that. It’s online by visiting the National Night Out tab on the Seguin Police Department’s webpage. National Night Out happens Tuesday, October the 6th,” said Dodgen.
Police and fire officials show up for official National Night Out events to help strengthen their relationships with the public. Again, neighborhoods can get signed up via the link the Seguin Police Department’s website.
The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office also participates in National Nigh Out events at neighborhoods in the unincorporated areas of the county. More information can be found on the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
National Night Out in Texas will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 6.
