BELTON, Texas — Texas Lutheran Volleyball was swept by Millsaps, a future member of the SCAC starting in fall 2027, 26-24, 25-15, 25-17 in their final match of the 2026 UMHB Invitational on the campus of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.The Bulldogs (3-1) will be back in action on Tuesday in Kerrville against Schreiner at 6 PM. Briana Salvatierra-Moore (San Antonio/Antonian College Prep) led the Bulldogs with eight kills and two blocks. Aleena Zuniga (McAllen/Sharyland Pioneer) dished out a team-high ten assists, while Kieryn Adams (Schulenburg/Schulenburg)
Attack errors plagued the Bulldogs on Saturday. After averaging five errors per set through the first three matches, the Bulldogs averaged just over eight per set against the Majors.
The match started off hotly contested as the opening set had ten ties and five lead changes before the Majors took the set 26-24. The second set was reminiscent of the first to start but a 14-4 run to close the second set gave the Majors a 2-0 lead. After a 5-5 tie early in the set, Millsaps pulled away to secure the sweep with a 25-17 set win.
