(Marion) — A 40-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning after the vehicle he was driving rolled over along the IH-10 service road in Guadalupe County.
According to preliminary information from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. Aug. 29 near County Road 309.
The man was the sole occupant of a 2016 blue Honda Pilot traveling westbound on the IH-10 service road. Investigators say the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a curb at the entrance to a truck stop and rolled over.
The driver, a 40-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Marion Volunteer Fire Department, Schertz Emergency Medical Services and the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash near Exit 601.
DPS Staff Sgt. Orlando De Luna Jr., with the agency’s Central Texas Region Media and Communications Office, said the investigation remains ongoing and no additional details were available at the time of the release.
Authorities are reminding motorists to use caution and drive safely.
