(Marion) — The Marion Lady Bulldogs fell 3-1 against the Pleasanton Eagles out of 4A. Marion took set one 27-25 before falling 25-19, 25-17, and 25-18.
The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 9-8 after a night with less-than-stellar communication mixed with improved defensive play.
Marion volleyball returns to the court on Thursday to play in the Matador Classic hosted by Seguin.
(San Antonio) — The Seguin Lady Matadors fell to 3-9 with two weeks left before district play, losing 3-0 at Incarnate Word High School. The 10-8 Shamrocks won 25-15, 25-16, and 25-11.
Seguin will play again on Thursday when they welcome hometown fans back to Goldie Harris Gym for the start of the Matador Classic.
Seguin is scheduled to play Southside and Stevens at 9am and 11am (approximate time conducive to 10am match between Stevens and Marion ending on time).
