(Seguin) — There’s a new voice on the air this morning at KWED.
Reily Chestnut has officially joined the station as Sports Director and will lead coverage of local high school and college athletics across the Guadalupe County area.
Chestnut returns home to the area after building his broadcasting career at several stops around the country, including serving as the Voice of the Western Kentucky University Lady Toppers. He grew up in the Cibolo area and is a graduate of Steele High School.
Listeners can hear Chestnut delivering daily sportscasts on KWED while preparing for another busy season of Friday night football, Texas Lutheran University athletics, coaches’ shows and in-depth local sports coverage.
Chestnut replaces Chris Austin, who recently announced that he was going into semi-retirement.
