(Seguin) — Texas Lutheran University will again be opening up its campus tonight to ghosts and goblins looking for a little pre Halloween fun.
TLU’s annual Boo Bash returns today, Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. Not only will students be hosting the popular trunk-or-treat event but they’ll be adding something new this year — a haunted house.
Tracy Donley, TLU’s director of communication and content, says the university has hosted the free community Halloween event for years.
“This is a gift from TLU to the community,” said Donley. “It’s for all ages. It is free. There’s no cost, and kids can go around and trick or treat.”
It should be noted that year’s trunk or treat event will move to the north end of the campus in the Alumni Student Center parking lot near the walking trail.
Donley says the addition of a haunted house, organized by TLU’s Campus Activities Board, gives families another reason to make the trip to campus.
The haunted house will be set up in a residence hall across from the parking lot where trunk-or-treat activities are taking place. Organizers plan to include an area geared toward younger children, along with a spookier section for older kids.
In addition to trunk-or-treating and the haunted house, the event will also include sports games with TLU athletes, craft stations and face painting.
Parking for the event is available anywhere throughout the campus.
