Puppy adoption, pet blessing slated for this weekend

(Seguin) — Pumpkins and puppies are making for a sweet fall combination as First Methodist Church in Seguin hosts its annual Pumpkins & Puppies adoption event on Saturday.

Terry Webb, the church’s pumpkin patch coordinator, says this weekend might be the weekend to welcome a new four-legged family member.

“Saturday will be Puppies in the Patch. And that’s when the Seguin Animal Services bring puppies to adopt. And then also, our pastor will bless animals of any variety in the prayer garden from 10 a.m. to noon,” said Webb.

The adoption event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. First Methodist Church is located at 710 N. Austin Street.
