(Seguin) — A well-known children’s author is making a special visit to Seguin tonight as part of this month’s Third Thursday event in downtown Seguin.
Pamela Bell Reece is signing copies of her children’s books at Southern Traditions on South Austin Street, next to Burnt Bean Co. She says the books have a positive message for the children who read them.
“I have three books right now. Two of them are already published, and one is getting published right now, and it just actually got available on Amazon. So, all of the books center around six little characters called the ‘Little Buckaroos,’ and they are all about kindness, teamwork, companionship, faith, family, and America,” said Reece.
Reece says the books are all part of a growing Buckaroo series.
“I have Good Night Little Buckaroos, It’s Time For Bed Little Buckaroos, and just published is Let’s Rodeo Little Buckaroos, (which is) just in time for all the rodeos coming up in the spring,” said Reece.
Reece has a Seguin connection. Her mother-in-law, Norma Reece, still calls Seguin home, and her husband, Bruce Reece, grew up here in Seguin.
“He was voted most likely to succeed when he was here. So, I’ve spent the week here with my mother-in-law doing all the great Seguin things,” said Reece.
Reece is at Southern Traditions (110 S. Austin St.) signing copies of her books now. She encourages folks to stop by and pick up a few copies, which she says also make great gifts.
If you miss your chance to stop by Southern Traditions tonight, Reece says copies of her books are also available through Amazon, Target and other online retailers.
