(Seguin) — Two Seguin men are behind bars after allegedly stabbing an individual during a robbery in a local neighborhood.
Seguin Police officials say the incident happened at 9:55 pm Thursday when a person was walking along Nelda Street and was approached by the two men.
The men allegedly attempted to take the victim’s bag. During the encounter, officials say the victim was assaulted with a knife and “suffered superficial injuries.”
Officials say the victim reportedly flagged down a passerby in the 800 block of Nelda Street and asked for help. The passerby called 911, and Seguin police officers responded to the area.
Police officials say officers located two suspects at a nearby residence and took them into custody. Arrested were Jaymes Rangel,19 and Roderick Sutton Rangel, 18. Rangel was given a $ 1 million bond, while Sutton faces a $750,000 bond.
Both are being held in the Guadalupe County Jail.
