Target planned for Seguin

(Seguin) — The latest filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates that a Target store is planned for Seguin.

According to the TDLR filing, Target plans to spend $20.7 million to build a 123,000-square-foot store in the new Seguin Exchange shopping center along the westbound Interstate 10 access road, west of State Highway 46. Construction is expected to begin in February 2027, with completion set for January 2028.

The store is one of the first major projects announced for Seguin Exchange, which is being developed by NewQuest.

Walmart is also considering building a new store nearby. The proposed Supercenter would be located along State Highway 46 at Pecan Parkway, south of Rudeloff Road.

Seguin is one of the fastest-growing communities in the state, and that growth is attracting new retail, restaurants and housing developments.
