Clifton Delton Doege passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born to Fritz Walter Doege and Rosa Pape Doege on September 10, 1945, in Seguin, Texas.
Clifton Doege is preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Rosa Doege; brothers, Burnie Doege, Wilfred Doege, Harry Lee Doege, Vernon Doege, and Glenn Roy Doege; sisters, Gladys Head and Gertrude Vinyard.
Left to cherish and honor his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon Gerdes Doege; daughters, Rafaye Doege Viddal (Noah) and Marcie Doege Carter; and son, Aaron Dwayne Doege; grandchildren, Haley Winchester, Sienna Viddal, Colt Viddal, Zach Carter, and Zoe Carter; sister-in-law, Evelyn Doege Salmon (Tom); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clifton will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved gardening, barbecuing, fishing, raising rabbits, roofing, playing pool, going to the horse races, and watching TV. Clifton will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening, September 18, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Elm Creek Community Cemetery.
