Tables still available for inaugural United Way Red Barn Bash

(Seguin) — If you like supporting good causes while also having a fun night out, you’re running out of time to purchase your table for the first-ever United Way Red Barn Bash.

This will be the first event in Seguin hosted by the United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties.

United Way Community Engagement Coordinator Alex Rojas says the organization is encouraging individuals, groups or businesses to reserve their tables now.

“We are so excited to have our inaugural event on August 27th, the Red Barn Bash. We will be hosting it at the Red Barn at 5:30 p.m.,” said Rojas.

There’s still time for people to purchase tables, but that really needs to happen today if they plan to attend.

“We’re getting down close to the last minute here, but we are still looking for a couple of table sponsors if somebody was willing to split the table between a few people or if a donor wants to come in — tables are $2,500,” said Rojas.

Rojas says the Red Barn Bash features a night of great food, music and more. She says people will have a good time.

“We’re going to have Burnt Bean Co. We’re going to have wine from the Blue Lotus Winery and entertainment from the Brushy Creek Boys. So, we’re excited to hear some good music and come together as a community and just gather and hear all the work that United Way will be doing,” said Rojas.

The name United Way of Comal and Guadalupe Counties may be new to some. The organization recently expanded its operations into Guadalupe County. Rojas says part of her job is to reach out to the community and share more details about how United Way helps other nonprofit organizations in the area.

“We did not merge together. We expanded our territory into Guadalupe County. United Way of Comal County expanded into Guadalupe County. And so, we’re here just trying to hit the ground running and raise some money for United Way,” said Rojas.

Those who would like to attend the event need to act now, Rojas says. Tables are available by calling 512-618-0642. The Red Barn Bash BBQ will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, August 27, at the Big Red Barn, located at 250 Cordova Road.
