(Seguin) — The clock is ticking for local artists who would like to submit their vision for a new mural in downtown Seguin.
Seguin Mayor Donna Dodgen says the city’s Visitor Center in downtown Seguin wants to add a mural, and ideas for that public artwork must be submitted no later than Friday.
“Destination Seguin is accepting proposals for a new mural at the Seguin Visitor Center. They’re looking for a creative design that will welcome visitors and celebrate Seguin. Artists are invited to review the project details and submit a proposal and design concept, which is due Friday, August 7, by 5 p.m. You’re welcome to call the Main Street office or send them an email or look online, where the proposal information is available,” said Dodgen.
City officials again stress that ideas for the mural must be submitted by Friday to the Destination Seguin office at the Visitor Center. The center is located at the corner of Austin and Donegan streets.
