Margarita Madness takes over Downtown Seguin TONIGHT

Special by Lindsay Hajek, assistant director of Main Street and Destination Seguin

(Seguin) — Grab your besties and head downtown on Thursday, May 21 for Margarita Madness, an evening of margaritas, live music, shopping, and dining f rom 5 to 8 p.m.

Hosted by the Downtown Business Alliance, Margarita Madness invites you to explore downtown, shop local businesses, and enjoy margarita samples served by participating “Margarita Maniacs.”

The Downtown Business Alliance is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting and promoting downtown Seguin. Proceeds from events like Margarita Madness help fund local marketing efforts and community initiatives. You can support their work by purchasing a commemorative Margarita Madness cup for $10 during the event; please note that disposable cups will not be provided.

Guests can begin the evening at Central Park starting at 5 p.m., where participants will check in, show identification to receive a wristband, and pick up an event map before heading out to explore downtown. Throughout the evening, guests can return to Central Park to enjoy live music by Gacho Sol, grab a bite from food trucks, and purchase souvenir T-shirts from Print This, which will be printing shirts on-site during the event.

Guests will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite margarita of the evening through a QR code available during the event. Participating Margarita Maniac locations include Amika Wellness Studio, Father Christmas, The Gathering Place, Gift and Gourmet, Guadalupe County Fair, Herr Beauty, Collision X, Law Offices of James Reyes PLLC, The Mercantile, Paws to Perfection, Seguin Arms & Ammo, Seguin Art League, Seguin Jewelry, Southern Good, Southern Traditions, Tarpon Blue Real Estate, The Tiny Truck Social Club, The Wayside, and You’re So Crafty.

Each Third Thursday of the month, downtown shops, restaurants, and businesses stay open late, creating an opportunity for the community to enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment even later. Margarita Madness has become one of the most anticipated Third Thursday themes of the year, drawing crowds downtown each May.
