(Seguin) — Seven area high school seniors have earned spots in postseason all-star baseball games following strong 2026 playoff seasons.
Seguin’s Will Gray Mahaffey and Matthew Marek will play in the San Antonio Area Baseball Coaches Association Senior Salute All-Star Game tonight at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio. First pitch is set 7 p.m. this evening.
Mahaffey and Marek helped lead the Matadors to their second straight district championship this past season. Seguin advanced two rounds in the Class 5A playoffs before falling to No. 1 state-ranked Leander Rouse.
Marion’s Casey Cloud, Kade Pape and Huck Schoenvogel, along with Navarro’s Noah Rosas, will play in the SAABCA All-Star Game on May 30 at the Tejeda Sports Complex in San Antonio. Navarro’s Austin Davidson will participate in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game on June 13 at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
Marion and Navarro also claimed district titles in 2026. The Bulldogs reached the regional semifinals in Class 3A, while the Panthers advanced to the area round in Class 4A.
