(Marion) – The Marion ISD is celebrating its top teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. Across the district, campuses are recognizing the daily accomplishments of all teachers, especially those selected as Teacher of the Year for their respective schools.
This year’s winners include Krueger Teacher of the Year Marisol Longoria-Parker; Karrer Teacher of the Year Janet Nance; Marion Middle School Teacher of the Year Justin Afflerbach and Marion High School Teacher of the year Lori Morgenroth.
This year, the Teachers of the Year winners in Marion were recognized in various ways across the district. They were first announced to their campuses and surprised with a celebratory “parade” that included the band, cheerleaders, administrators, fellow staff members, students, and their families.
In addition, the Marion Education Foundation hosted a special banquet in their honor at Los Cucos Mexican Restaurant and were recognized publicly at the April school board meeting.
All honorees will also represent the district during the Seguin Chamber of Commerce’s annual Teacher of the Year banquet scheduled for this Friday, May 8.
