Seguin to host Small Business Resource Fair today at Coliseum

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today

Special by Lindsay Hajek, assistant director of Main Street and Destination Seguin

(Seguin) — Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to connect with resources, experts and support services when Seguin hosts a Small Business Resource Fair on May 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Seguin Coliseum, 950 S. Austin St.

The resource fair is free to attend and is designed for entrepreneurs at every stage, from those exploring early business ideas to established owners looking to expand. It aims to provide direct access to tools and expertise that can help strengthen and grow local businesses.

Organized by Seguin Economic Development, the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce and Seguin Main Street, the event will feature more than 15 exhibitors, including the Governor’s Small Business Assistance Team, the UTSA Small Business Development Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration, along with additional partners at the state, county and local levels.

In addition to the exhibitor showcase, the event will include breakout sessions covering Small Business Administration programs, cybersecurity for small businesses and marketing strategies using AI.

Following the fair, the event will transition into the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly luncheon from noon to 1 p.m., which requires an advance ticket purchase. The luncheon will feature a Small Business Week proclamation, a keynote presentation by Fran Stephenson and Jennifer Hatton on using micro-influencers to create effective, budget-friendly marketing campaigns, and a special award presentation from the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizing a local business.

The event reflects a broader effort to support Seguin’s small business community by connecting entrepreneurs with practical resources and key partners to help them build strategies they can use to start, grow and sustain their businesses.
