Two days remain to vote early in May 2 election

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today
Two days remain to vote early in May 2 election

(Seguin) — Guadalupe County voters have just two days left to cast a ballot early in the May 2 Uniform Election.

Polls will be open today and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at five locations across the county.

The final stretch of early voting comes as Guadalupe County residents prepare to weigh in on a handful of local races and propositions that vary depending on where they live. Ballots in this election include school board contests, city council races and several major bond proposals, including a $65 million bond election in Navarro ISD, ballot propositions in New Braunfels and a $295 million bond election in Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD.

County elections officials are reminding voters to review their sample ballot before heading to the polls, since not every voter will see the same items on the ballot. Because the May election is made up of local races and propositions, each ballot depends “entirely on a voter’s address and the jurisdictions in which they live.”

Voters can cast ballots at any of Guadalupe County’s five early voting locations, regardless of where they live in the county.

The main polling location is the Guadalupe County Elections Office at 3251 N. Highway 123. Other locations include Redemptive Grace Ministries, at 2240 FM 725 in New Braunfels; the Schertz Annex at 1101 Elbel Road in Schertz; Selma City Hall at 9375 Corporate Drive in Selma; and the Marion ISD Tondre Room at 500 Bulldog Lane in Marion.

Election Day is Saturday, May 2.

Sample ballots, polling information and additional election details are available through the Guadalupe County Elections Office.
