SEGUIN, Texas — For the fourth time this season, Katelyn Howard (Waller/Hempstead) was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The award marks the most of any SCAC pitcher this season and is the most in a single-season since former Bulldog, Ashlyn Strother, earned five weekly honors during the 2023 season.

Howard allowed only seven hits and struck out three batters while walking none.

On the year, Howard is 17-0 with a 0.53 earned run average. She has 65 strikeouts in 105.0 innings pitched and is holding opponents to a .221 batting average. Howard was named to the NFCA Pitcher of the Year Watch List earlier this month.Texas Lutheran returns to action this weekend, traveling to Austin to face Concordia (TX) to continue SCAC play on Friday, April 17.
