(Marion) — The Marion Bulldogs remained perfect in district play Friday, improving to 8-0 in District 27-3A with a 4-2 win over Great Hearts Northern Oaks at Marion High School. Gage Hamilton threw a complete game to earn the victory on the mound.
Marion will next face defending district champion Jourdanton in a two-game series this week, with game one set for Tuesday in Marion. First pitch is at 7 p.m.

(Seguin) — The Navarro Panthers stayed tied for first place in District 28-4A with a 19-1 run-rule victory over San Antonio Memorial on Friday at the new Navarro High School. Navarro and Cuero are both 6-1 in district play. The Panthers will travel to Memorial on Tuesday, with first pitch at 7 p.m.
(San Antonio) — Seguin pitcher Ethan Tipple fired a one-hitter Saturday, leading the Matadors to a 4-0 shutout of San Antonio Burbank. The perfect 10-0 Matadors clinched a playoff berth with the victory and have outscored district opponents 107-4 across their 10 District 27-5A wins. Seguin will next play at San Antonio Highlands on Wednesday, with first pitch at 6 p.m.
(San Antonio) — The Seguin Lady Matador softball team dropped their first district game of the season Friday, falling 7-6 at San Antonio Burbank. The Lady Mats trailed 7-3 heading into the top of the seventh and scored three runs with two outs to pull within one, but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Seguin is 10-1 in District 27-5A. The Lady Mats can clinch at least a share of the district title Tuesday with a win at San Antonio Highlands. First pitch is at 6 p.m.
(Seguin) — The Navarro Lady Panthers crushed San Antonio Memorial 19-4 in a run-rule victory on Senior Night at the new Navarro High School on Friday. Senior catcher Shelbi Stevens extended her school record with her 17th home run of the season. Navarro has clinched a playoff spot and will close out the regular season Tuesday at Cuero, with first pitch at 7 p.m.
(Universal City) –And the Marion Lady Bulldogs run-ruled Randolph 11-1 on Friday. Marion has also clinched a postseason berth. The Lady Bulldogs play at San Antonio Cole on Tuesday, with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
