Baseball and softball district realignments for Seguin, Navarro and Marion announced this week


(Austin) — The UIL announced district realignments for baseball and softball this week.

The Seguin baseball and softball teams will be moving north from their current, mostly San Antonio-based district. The Matadors and Lady Matadors will play in District 25-5A beginning next season. Their opponents will be Smithson Valley, Kyle Lehman, Lockhart, New Braunfels, New Braunfels Long Creek, San Antonio Veterans Memorial and San Antonio MacArthur.

The Navarro Panthers and Lady Panthers will be in District 29-4A. Their opponents will be Cuero, Floresville, Gonzales, La Vernia and San Antonio Great Hearts Northern Oaks.

The Marion Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will be in District 27-3A alongside Jourdanton, Lytle, Poteet, San Antonio Cole and Universal City Randolph.

UIL district realignments for football, basketball and volleyball were announced in February.
