(Marion) — Marion’s Travis Randle, Jaiden Riley, and Banji Ajasin were named this week to the 2025-26 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 3A Boys All-Region 4 team.
Randle, a four-year Marion basketball letterman who took home the District 27-3A MVP this season, led the Bulldogs in scoring and assists, averaging 15.4 points and 2.9 assists per contest. The senior surpassed 1,000 points in his career in February and averaged 23.5 points per contest in the first two rounds of the playoffs, leading Marion to the regional semifinals.
Ajasin, a 6-foot-6, 335-pound senior, was named the district’s Defensive Player of the Year. He led Marion in rebounding, pulling down 10 rebounds per game. He also averaged nearly two blocks per game and was a constant presence in the paint on both ends of the floor.
Riley was Marion’s second-leading rebounder at 6.6 rebounds per contest. He and Randle led the Bulldogs with 1.3 steals per game. Riley was named to the district’s first team following the season.
The Bulldogs were the District 27-3A champions this season. Marion finished 28-8 overall and advanced to the UIL Class 3A Division I Region IV semifinals, where the No. 13 Bulldogs fell to No. 3 Corpus Christi London, 56-45.
Head coach Jon Allen surpassed the 600-win mark this season, winning his 600th career game on Feb. 3 in a 55-42 victory over San Antonio Cole. Allen finished the year with 606 victories.
