SEGUIN, Texas — Following the first SCAC Championship in program history, the Texas Lutheran women’s soccer team will head to Costa Rica from March 8-15, competing and sightseeing in Costa Rica featuring stops in Cartago, Tamarindo, and San Jose. The Bulldogs will play two friendlies games against teams from Costa Rica.
The Bulldogs will fly out Sunday morning before facing Cartago Monday night at 7 PM CST in Cartago before traveling to Tamarindo to face AD Chorotega at 5 PM CST.
From there, the Bulldogs will travel throughout the country sightseeing and representing Texas Lutheran through community service. This will be the first foreign trip in program history. Fifteen of 28 athletes from the 2025 championship team will be traveling .
“The chance to take a group of college students to another country halfway across the world will be an adventure,” said head coach Kerwin Johnson. “We will have a chance to compete against Costa Rican competition in their home country, which is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We are extremely excited!”
Streaming of the games is to be determined, but if the games are streamed all links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
