(McQueeney) — Authorities are investigating a shooting reported in the McQueeney area.
Guadalupe County Sheriff’s office reports that the incident occurred last night near what they are describing as the 100 block of McQueeney Road.
Officials say initial information indicates an Hispanic male suspect fled the scene on foot and may be armed. The individual is described as wearing all black clothing.
As deputies continued their investigation and search efforts, residents in that general area were being urged to shelter in place as a precaution.
Law enforcement officials are asking anyone who sees suspicious activity — including a person matching the suspect’s description — to call 911 immediately. Residents are advised not to approach or attempt to confront the suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
