(New Braunfels) — The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a New Braunfels couple following an investigation into alleged possession of child pornography and bestiality. The alleged incidents were reported in the 2100 block of Flintshire Drive located in northern Guadalupe County.
The investigation began after the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Bureau received information from Homeland Security Investigations regarding a federal undercover operation. During that federal probe, agents executed a residential search warrant at a separate location and seized electronic evidence, which was later forensically reviewed.
Although no federal charges were filed, HSI requested that Guadalupe County authorities pursue state charges after investigators identified suspected child sexual abuse material and bestiality material during their examination.
Guadalupe County investigators subsequently obtained a state search warrant to review the digital evidence.
On Feb. 5, 2026, authorities say they developed probable cause that both individuals knowingly possessed child sexual abuse material and bestiality material. Investigators also determined there was probable cause to believe Scott Joseph Mikos, 56, assisted in the production and distribution of bestiality material.
Probable cause affidavits were submitted to 25th Judicial District Judge William D. Old III, who issued arrest warrants on Feb. 25, 2026.
That same day, sheriff’s investigators also arrested 44-year-old Angel Irene Mikos.
Angel is charged with possession or promotion of child pornography involving fewer than 10 images and bestiality. Scott is charged with possession or promotion of child pornography involving more than 50 images and bestiality.
The case remains under investigation.
