(Springfield, Massachusetts) — A 21-year-old Seguin man is now facing a murder charge following a deadly shooting in Massachusetts.
Authorities in Springfield, Massachusetts, say Daevon Shular is accused in a Sunday night shooting that left another man dead. Police say Shular was also wounded during the incident and was later arrested at a hospital while being treated for a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening.
Investigators say officers responded to reports of a shooting inside an apartment and found a man suffering from a serious gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Shular now faces multiple felony charges, including murder, illegal possession of a firearm, attempted armed robbery, and firing a weapon near a building. The name of the victim has not been released.
If convicted, Shular could face decades in prison.
The case remains under investigation by Massachusetts authorities.
