(Geronimo) — The Navarro Panthers were well represented on the District 13-4A All-District team released this week.
Panther junior offensive lineman Chris Ledezma was named the district’s Offensive Line MVP and an all-district first teamer. Ledezma helped pave the way for Navarro’s rushing attack and running back Dylan Trotti, who ran for over 1,400 yards this season. Trott, a senior, earned a first-team nod for his performance. Joining Trotti on the all-district first-team offense were sophomore fullback Isidro Rocha, senior offensive lineman Eli Melton, and sophomore punter Brody Zoeller.
Four Panthers earned all-district second-team honors on offense. Senior Evan Rodriguez was selected at receiver, junior Tyler Riske at center, senior Grayson Carlisle at offensive line, and senior tight end Braddock Gallini at tight end. Gallini will play at the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game at the Alamodome. The game will take place on January 10th.
A pair of Panthers earned first-team defensive selections. Senior Mason Harvey and junior Lane Black were both named first team at defensive tackle.
Navarro placed four players on the defensive second team. Senior Mason Berry was selected at linebacker, senior Luke Vogel at outside linebacker, sophomore Emerson Elder on special teams, and Gallini earned the nod at defensive end.
Four Panthers made the all-district honorable mention list: senior quarterback Austin Davidson, junior cornerback Julius Deleon, sophomore cornerback Eli Baker, and junior defensive end Colin Geipel.
The Panthers are led by head coach Glenn Hill. Hill led Navarro to a sixth-place finish in a competitive District 13-4A in his first season at the helm.
