(Geronimo) — The post-season all-district selections have been announced for District 28-4A, and several Navarro Lady Panthers received recognition.
Hannah Durrett was selected Co-Outstanding Setter of the Year by the district’s coaches. Durrett also earned first-team and academic all-district honors. The junior dished out 409 assists on the season while coming up with 251 digs.
Four more Lady Panthers earned spots on the all-district first team: Avery Sisak, Minka Du Preez, Riley Smith, and Piper Fox. All four also earned academic all-district recognition. Sisak led Navarro with 443 assists and 46 service aces. Du Preez 211 kills were tops for the Lady Panthers. Smith, who returned from injury early in the season, compiled 93 kills and 33 blocks. Fox was second on the team with 189 blocks
On the all-district second team were Ayden Chapa, Elle Hepp, and E’mirrah Harris. All three were also named to the academic all-district team. Chapa led the Lady Panthers with 321 digs. Hepp was third on the team with 174 blocks. Harris was the team leader with 60 blocks.
Linley Kirk received an all-district honorable mention and was selected to the academic team. Also making the academic all-district team for the Lady Panthers were Makenna Fox, Peyton Schimonsky, and Reagan Schimonsky.
Navarro won 22 matches overall in the 2025 season, finishing second in District 28-4A and advancing to the area round of the Class 4A Division II playoffs. The Lady Panthers were led by third-year head coach Paige Poth.
District 28-4A champion La Vernia advanced to the state championship. The Lady Bears fell in the championship match to Decatur in four sets.
