(Corpus Christi) — Navarro runner Lilia Flo is returning to the girls’ state cross country meet.

Flo set a new Navarro High School record on Tuesday at the Class 4A Region IV Championship in Corpus Christi. The senior crossed the finish line with a time of 11:48.71 in the two-mile race. Flo earned the bronze medal for her performance and now moves on to the state meet.

Navarro junior Lilyanna Lesly finished in 48th place at the regional meet with a personal record time of 13:18.48. Sophomore Payton Wyatt finished 149th. Sophomore Jennedy Saenz was 170th and freshman Lezlee Hernandez placed 172nd. For the Navarro boys, junior Robert Leal finished in 85th place in the 5000-meter race.

Lilia Flo will represent Navarro High School at the state meet on Saturday, November 1st in Round Rock. Flo finished 71st at the state meet last year as a junior.
