Mark Lane was born on September 2, 1965 in San Antonio, TX and passed away October 19, 2025, after a 6-year battle with congestive heart failure.
Mark is survived by his wife, Cathy Lane; son, Jonathan Lane and grandson Jake; daughter, Amber Engelke and grandkids Morgan, Mason, and Macy. He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Lane; sister Sharon Susat (Mike); brother David Lane (Vera); mother-in-law Betty Dearing, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Mark is proceeded in death by his father, Pat Lane, father-in-law, Clarence Dearing Jr. and nephew, Zachary Dearing.
Mark passed away with his loving wife next to his side just 3 days shy of their 41st wedding anniversary. Mark was described as being unique, funny, daring, and compassionate, living life to the fullest. Those who had the privilege of knowing Mark would say he had a heart of gold. Seeing his lifelong friends gather at the hospital in his final days proved just how deeply he touched the lives of those around him.
There will be a celebration of life held at 2PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Kingsbury Methodist Church located at 7035 FM 2438 Kingsbury, TX 78638.
