TLU again named "Best in the Southwest" by Princeton Review

(Seguin) — Texas Lutheran University has once again earned a spot among the top colleges in the region, with The Princeton Review naming the university to its 2026 “Best Colleges: Best in the Southwest” list.

The designation places TLU among just 40 institutions recognized across Texas, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma — highlighting schools the organization considers academically strong and highly regarded by students, parents, educators, and counselors.

TLU officials say The Princeton Review is a long-standing national resource for students navigating the college search process and evaluating institutions based on academic quality and verified feedback from those engaged in the college experience.

They say TLU’s continued inclusion on the list reflects its reputation for providing a high-value education while maintaining close-knit academic communities and strong student support.

This latest recognition follows significant national rankings already announced earlier this fall by U.S. News & World Report. For the eleventh consecutive year, Texas Lutheran University earned a place among the top institutions in the West, climbing to eighth overall, up from ninth last year.

The university also moved up in key categories — fourth in Best Value Schools and third in Best Colleges for Veterans, “making notable gains from previous placements.”

With approximately 1,400 students enrolled across three campuses — Seguin, New Braunfels, and Houston –TLU now offers more than 30 majors, eight graduate programs, and 12 pre-professional tracks.
