(Seguin) — A handful of schools, businesses and non-profits took home top honors during this year’s Guadalupe County Fair parade.
More than 80 floats and entries participated in this year’s parade held Friday morning in downtown Seguin.
Floats featured a wide range of participants from Seguin and surrounding communities.
This year’s parade winners include
The Judges Overall Entry award which was presented to Toro Theatre Company at AJB Middle School.
- Named Best Creative Entry was Seguin High School Matador Theatre
- The Best Military or Patriotic award went to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office
- Best Festival Float was the Guadalupe County Fair Queens
- Best Float Business Commercial went to 1916 Bar & Bistro
- Named as Best Out of Town Entry was the CFPO Navarro Panther Cheer
- The Best Local Entry award went to – Life Gate Christian School
- Named as Best Marching Band was the Seguin High School Mighty Matador Marching Band and Colorguard
- Best Animal Entry went to the True Women Drill Team
- And last but not least, Best Horse Individual or Horse Club Group went to the Bexar County Palomino Patrol & Drill Team
Parade organizers tell the Seguin Daily News that they were thrilled to see strong participation not only from Seguin ISD and Navarro ISD programs, but from community organizations across Guadalupe County and beyond.
Serving as this year’s parade marshals were past members of the Guadalupe County Fair Queens Court.
