(Seguin) — Seguin’s small business community is getting another shot at some BIG opportunities. The city of Seguin has officially reopened applications for its Business Improvement Grant (BIG) Program — a funding initiative designed to help local businesses grow, modernize, and beautify their spaces.
Through the reimbursement-based program, qualified applicants can receive up to a 75-percent matching grant, with a maximum award of $10,000.
The funding can go toward façade and signage upgrades, site improvements, and other property enhancements that elevate the city’s commercial landscape.
“The City of Seguin first launched the BIG Program in August of 2021. Since then, we have found it to be a very successful program for our small businesses,” said Steve Parker, City Manager for the City of Seguin. “We are very excited to be able to offer this grant to the community again for another year. The BIG Program enables our small businesses to partner with the City on projects that will help improve the physical condition of existing commercial facilities and improve business operations and efficiency through the addition of new equipment and machinery. These investments are a win for the city and a win for our local businesses.”
