(Seguin) — The Seguin Lady Matadors improved to 11-0 in District 27-5A with a sweep of San Antonio Lanier at Goldie Harris Gym on Friday.
Seguin won the match, 25-13, 25-6, 25-12. Lady Matador senior setter Giselle Morales had 32 assists and five service aces to lead the Lady Mats. Junior hitter Elli Anderson paced Seguin with 11 kills.
The Lady Mats, all alone in first place in the district with five matches left in the regular season, will travel to San Antonio Jefferson on Tuesday. First serve is set for 7:30 p.m.
(Geronimo) — The Navarro Lady Panthers are 3-1 in District 28-4A after they swept past Gonzales Friday in Geronimo.
The Lady Panthers took the match 25-10, 25-18, 25-13. Navarro will next play at Cuero. The Lady Panthers and Lady Gobblers are tied for second place in the district at 3-1. Both teams trail 4-0 La Vernia.
Navarro and Cuero will meet Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. at Cuero High School.
(Marion) — The Marion Lady Bulldogs stayed unbeaten in District 27-3A with a four-set win over Young Women’s Leadership Academy on Friday at Marion High School.
Marion, now 4-0 and in first place in district, won the match 25-13, 23-25, 25-10, 25-13. The Lady Bulldogs will next play San Antonio Cole in a road district match on Tuesday. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
(Adkins) — And the Lifegate Lady Falcons were victorious over Salem Sayers Baptist Academy on the road on Friday. Lifegate improved their record to 11-2 on the season.
