Traffic alerts issued for IH-10 in Seguin

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today
Traffic alerts issued for IH-10 in Seguin

(Seguin) — Drivers along Interstate 10 in Seguin should be prepared for several lane closures and traffic changes this week as crews with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) continue work in the area.

TxDOT says nightly left-lane closures are planned in both the eastbound and westbound lanes of IH-10 between Walnut Branch Creek and SH 123. Those closures will run through Sept. 20 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow crews to move material to the median. No detours will be required.

In addition, the westbound left lane will be closed daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, Sept. 20 in the same area for materials movement. Again, no detours will be required.

The biggest traffic impact comes Friday night, Sept. 19, when TxDOT will close all westbound main lanes of IH-10 over SH 123 beginning at 8 p.m. The highway will reopen at 5 a.m. Saturday. The closure is needed for bridge work, and a detour will be in place. Signs will be posted to guide drivers.

TxDOT reminds motorists to slow down in work zones and to watch for construction crews and traffic pattern changes.
