(Seguin) — Seguin audiences will soon have another chance to step inside the wit, charm, and fierce spirit of one of Texas’ most unforgettable leaders. The Texas Theatre, for its final weekend, will again present Ann, the acclaimed one-woman play by Holland Taylor. The theater production chronicles the life and legacy of former Texas Governor Ann Richards.
Set against the political backdrop of the early 1990s, Ann “offers an intimate, entertaining, and inspiring glimpse into the woman who became a national political icon, remembered for her sharp tongue and unshakable dedication to the people of Texas.”
The production is directed by Tysha Noel Calhoun, an Austin Broadway World “Director of the Decade” recipient and is being performed by award-winning actress and local resident Mary Jane Emmett Windle.
The production runs today through Sunday.
