Regional Apprenticeship Employer Event set for today in New Braunfels

Regional Apprenticeship Employer Event set for today in New Braunfels

(New Braunfels) — Employers from across Seguin, New Braunfels and Greater San Antonio still have time secure their spot at today’s Regional Employer Convening on Registered Apprenticeships — an event aimed at helping local businesses tap into new strategies for growing skilled talent.

The gathering will be held at Texas State Technical College in New Braunfels.

Hosted by a coalition that includes the City of San Antonio’s Apprenticeship Building America program, greater:SATX, Comal ISD, the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Economic Development, Seguin Economic Development Corporation, and the Texas Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association, the event is designed to connect employers directly with resources, incentives, and success stories from businesses already benefiting from apprenticeship models.

Organizers say attendees will hear from major employers who have successfully implemented RAPs, gain insights on building pre-apprenticeship pathways, and learn about tax credits and state-level programs available to companies looking to launch or expand their efforts. Organizers say it’s also a chance for businesses to make connections and take the next steps toward developing a sustainable talent pipeline.

A second session is planned for August 28 in San Antonio, but space for this morning’s New Braunfels event is expected to fill quickly. Those wishing to participate today or later this month or who would like to learn more about the event are asked to register at Eventbrite.com. They may also email Sonya Bryant at Sonya.Bryant@sanantonio.gov.
