(Seguin) — Got a library game board filled with summer reading adventures? Today’s your last chance to turn it in and score a shot at some seriously cool prizes at the Seguin Public Library!
Hannah Farmer, assistant library director, says participants from kids to adults must submit their boards today by 8 p.m. to qualify.
“This year, the theme of our summer reading program was ‘Color our World.’ So, it was all about the arts. We had a lot of fabulous performers and special guests. We had a reptile show. We had a puppeteer come and we finished the event with the kids with Mr. Will (Music) last week. But today is the last day to turn in your activity card for a chance to win the raffle prizes. So, there’s prizes for each age group,” said Farmer.
The library is offering a wide variety of exciting prizes, including tech gadgets, art supplies, gift cards, and more. Again, as Farmer mentioned, entries are only valid for those who have officially registered for the summer reading program.
In fact, she says there’s still time for kids and adults who have been reading all summer to stop by, complete their activity boards, and submit them before the deadline.
“If they have been reading and they completely missed the summer reading program and they want to try to figure out how much time they spent reading, they can still count that toward the activity card and if they have done enough, they can still turn that in. So, it’s not too late. If they do that too for the kids and teens, they’ll earn a free book. So, you want to come in especially for that,” said Farmer.
Boards can be picked up in person at the library or printed from the library’s website. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time to register online at: https://forms.office.com/r/pZb3B18QwP
The raffle prizes will be drawn Friday morning on Facebook Live.
The library is located at 313 W. Nolte St.
