(Seguin) – Get ready to help Pack the Bus.
Communities In Schools of South Central Texas (CIS) will be hosting its annual school supply drive outside HEB locations in Guadalupe County, including Seguin. Christine Watson, CIS, marketing and events manager, says this initiative provides new school supplies to thousands of students throughout the school year.
“CIS needs your help to ensure that every child walks into their classroom prepared and confident,” said Watson.
In addition to this weekend’s CIS Pack the Bus school supply drive, individuals and businesses have other options in which to donate
They may make financial donations securely online or shop the CIS Amazon Wishlist by visiting www.cis-sct.org.
They can also donate this Saturday at HEB stores either outside or at the check stands in New Braunfels, Cibolo and Schertz.
Those most needed school supplies include WIDE-RULED composition books; primary composition books; plastic folders with brads and pockets; new reusable water bottles; large backpacks; clear backpacks; earbuds, headphones; styluses; low-odor dry erase markers; washable markers; metal scissors (blunt and pointed); colored pencils; and pencil bags and boxes.
All donations collected will be distributed among the many school districts that are served by CIS, including Seguin, Marion and Navarro ISD.
