(Longview) — Navarro High School’s Shelbi Stevens continues to rake in postseason softball accolades.

Earlier this week, Stevens was named a Class 4A First Team All-State catcher by the Texas Sports Writers Association. The honor is the latest for Stevens this off-season. The Navarro incoming senior earned a spot on the All-District 26-4A first team following the 2025 season. She has been named to the Texas High School Coaches Association 2024-25 Class 4A Super Elite Team. And Stevens was selected to compete at the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Softball Game in Arlington, which will take place on July 15th.

Stevens broke her own Navarro High School single season home run record with 11 homers during her junior season, eclipsing the 10 she hit in 2024 as a sophomore. Stevens, who has been a first team all-district selection in all three of her years at Navarro, has hit 26 career home runs. She has committed to play college softball at the University of Kansas.

Voting for the Texas Sports Writers Association all-state teams was conducted by association members based on nominations from coaches and media members from around the state.
