(Seguin) – The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees is set to consider naming a lone finalist for its next superintendent of schools.
District officials say the board intends to vote on and name its top pick at tonight’s regular meeting. The district over the weekend announced that candidate interviews had been completed and that the district was on its way to naming new leadership.
That person, however, will still have to wait for the state’s required 21 days before he or she can officially assume the position.
The individual selected will replace former Superintendent Dr. Veronica Vijil who will retire at the end of the year.
