The Guadalupe County Emergency Management Office on Thursday was forced to activate emergency safety measures in order to ensure the protection of residents during the severe weather that rolled into the area. The proactive plans are part of the county’s ongoing service to public safety and are coordinated through Emergency Management, Road & Bridge crews, and first responder agencies throughout Guadalupe County. The office on Thursday activated the Emergency Alert to residents living on the Guadalupe River and they continuously monitored low-water crossing barricades. In addition, the Constable Pct. 3 office was called in to assist during water rescues at Cibolo Creek at Nu Pecan Grove in Schertz.
