(Arlington) — Navarro catcher Shelbi Stevens has been selected to play in this year’s Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Softball Game.
Stevens, an incoming senior who has committed to the University of Kansas, will be competing on the All-Star Red Team.
As a junior this past season, Stevens broke her own Navarro High School single season home run record with 11 homers, which eclipsed the 10 she hit in her sophomore season. She established the new record with a grand slam against Wimberley on March 15th. Stevens, who has been a first team all-district selection in all three of her years at Navarro, has hit 26 career home runs.
The TGCA All-Star Game is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on July 15th in Arlington at the Workman Softball Complex.
