(Seguin) — 2024 Seguin High School graduate Desiree Zuniga has signed with the University of Dallas Crusaders women’s basketball team. The school announced the signing on social media this past Friday.
In 2024, the senior guard Zuniga was named to the All-District 26-5A First Team. She led the Lady Matadors in scoring, dropping in 10.5 points per game and established a school record by making 101 three-point baskets in 35 games played, an average of 2.9 three-pointers per game. She also led the Lady Matadors in assists and steals. Zuniga was an all-district honorable mention in her junior season in 2023.
The University of Dallas competes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Crusaders are led by head coach Ty Adams. Dallas went 11-14 in the 2024-25 season.
