(Seguin) — Seguin High School quarterback Corey Dailey announced he has received yet another college football offer.
Dailey, who will enter his senior year of high school in the fall, revealed on social media on Wednesday that he’s secured an offer to play college football at San Diego State. The Aztecs are an FBS program that competes in the Mountain West Conference.
The newest offer for Dailey adds to his list of college offers which include the University of Pittsburgh, Texas State, University of Texas San Antonio, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Fordham and Tulane. Dailey has planned visits scheduled to Pitt and Texas State in June.
As a junior in 2024, Dailey was named the District 13-5A Offensive MVP. Dailey threw for 2529 yards with 35 touchdowns and just seven interceptions last season. On September 27th, Dailey had a career night going 25 of 33 for 471 yards and seven touchdowns in a 73-66 Matador victory over Boerne Champion. In three years as Seguin’s starting quarterback, Dailey has thrown for 6,189 yards with 78 touchdowns and just 18 interceptions. He has been rated a three-star prospect by various recruiting websites.
Dailey’s athletic prowess extends beyond the gridiron. He was named the District 27-5A MVP as a member of the Matador baseball team this spring and he earned the District 27-5A Offensive Player of the Year for the Seguin basketball team in the winter.
