Weinert 5th grader Amelia Courtney was tasked with leaving a lasting impression on her school. Before leaving elementary school, she chose to create an affirmation wall where future students can come and take or leave words of encouragement and positivity. Those who know her say Courtney has always had a huge heart. They say she has always felt compelled to spread positivity to everyone she meets. It’s also very typical for her to greet folks with a smile or warm hug. School officials say this school wall will remain her legacy – leaving something behind for future Matadors. Courtesy photo
