(Seguin) — City officials are asking residents to grab their helmets and hit the trail this morning for Bike to Work Day in Seguin.
City Engineer Melissa Reynolds says the event promotes healthy, eco-friendly commuting and encourages the community to consider alternative transportation options — especially as the city continues investing in trails and bike-friendly infrastructure.
This morning’s celebration runs from 7 to 9 a.m. at Pachanga Park, located along the Walnut Springs Walking Trail at 508 Dolle Avenue. Commuters and recreational riders are invited to swing by the Energizer Station for free refreshments and giveaways to help start the day.
In addition to free items and snacks, several local vendors will be set up at the park, including Community Cycles Seguin, Suburban Running and Rec, and the Fit to Inspire Running Club.
The event is sponsored by the City of Seguin and the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Organizers say it’s not too late to participate — just hop on your bike and stop by the Energizer Station before heading to work or school. Let’s ride together, Seguin!
