Seguin Main Street director arrested in child pornography investigation

(Seguin) — Kyle Kramm, the City of Seguin’s Main Street and Convention and Visitor’s Bureau director, was arrested Thursday following the execution of a search warrant related to an ongoing investigation into child exploitation.

According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force served a warrant at a residence in the 600 block of New Braunfels Street. During the search, authorities discovered digital images and videos depicting child pornography.

Kramm was taken into custody and charged with Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography, a third-degree felony. He was booked into the Guadalupe County Jail. Officials say additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. The operation was conducted with support from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Attorney General’s Office.

The City of Seguin confirmed Kramm’s employment and issued the following statement in response to his arrest:

“The City of Seguin has been made aware of the arrest of one of its employees, Kyle Kramm, in connection with Possession of Child Pornography. We take this matter seriously and are closely monitoring the situation.
As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will not be commenting on the details of the investigation. Mr. Kramm has been placed on administrative leave pending further information.
The City is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability, and we will cooperate fully with the authorities. The safety and well-being of our employees, residents, and community remain our top priority.”

Kramm has worked for the city for several years overseeing such projects as Moonlight and Roses, Trade Days, the Fourth of July Parade and other downtown activities

No further information is being released at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
