Two arrested, two wanted following early morning shooting in Seguin

(Seguin) — Two people have been arrested and two others are wanted following an early morning shooting in Seguin that left one man hospitalized.

According to the Seguin Police Department, officers were dispatched just after midnight on Monday to the area of West Shelby and South Goodrich Streets in response to reports of gunfire. When they arrived at the scene around 12:20 a.m., they found a 33-year-old Seguin man who had been shot while standing outside a nearby residence.

The victim was transported to a hospital in San Antonio, where authorities say he is currently listed in stable condition.

Seguin PD’s Criminal Investigations Division worked through the early morning hours and has arrested two individuals in connection with the shooting. Detta Sanders and Marisa Guerrero were taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Both were booked into the Guadalupe County Jail.

Meanwhile, detectives have also obtained active warrants for two additional suspects—Mylar Walker and Elexcia Himes—who are now wanted in connection to the case. Police say efforts are underway to locate and arrest both individuals.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of Walker or Himes, or with any other details about the shooting, to contact the Seguin Police Department at (830) 379-2123.
